Talk:Staple Foods

Delete or move the frozen food list if you want. I wasn't sure if it sure go in the gardening section. Some of the foods we stock up on when they are cheapest at our local farms (pick your own blueberries and strawberries are extremely cheap when in season here). The rest we grow at home and freeze what we don't use. We consider them staples but wasn't sure if that's what you meant. We also do the pick your own apples to stock up for the winter. Onions and potatoes we get on the cheap from the mennonite farmer who supplies some of our meat and cheese and store for the winter. I guess the weather's not bad enough in much of the country to warrant this.
