Talk:Blog Index

Hooray! Jacob has added a Sitemap to his blog - now I can find _any_ of his entries. That´s good! ...Oh, that means I´m out of my goal here (being able to find the entry I had in my head when wanting to send a link to a friend) - so this project will sink into a Sleeping Beauty sleep - sorry, other exciting things to do now. --Marlene 07:49, 6 September 2012 (MDT)

So, there is me boldly adding a page - I thought "blog index" would be nice, because then I can easily access it and maybe it´s obvious that the ere wiki blog is Jacobs blog? I´d thought maybe we could enter the blogtitles from each year, to make it easier to find certain parts? That´s something I´d like to see, still I´ve got no clue about indexing. So I just start with some titles and please someone direct me in another direction if that is more orderly. Thanks. Marlene

And here comes the first snag: shall I index them when they were ORIGINALLY posted? I think yes, so this might look a bit patchy... --Marlene 12:24, 22 May 2012 (MDT)

Drat! I should have added the excact date from the start - I mean who would have thunk that there would be *several* blogposts in one month! /irony. Well, first get the postst here, then I/someone can add the missing dates. --Marlene 02:30, 2 June 2012 (MDT)

Oh well, and now I found out that what I´m doing here is rather a ´table of contents´than an index - I´ll just plod on and worry about real indexing later. --Marlene 01:53, 5 June 2012 (MDT)

- Right and now I added the year to the month, because it´s easier to file the links that way. But is it easier for reading? When I´m/we´re finished with the "table of content" should those go? --Marlene 01:51, 12 June 2012 (MDT)

And the next snag: Starting the index - how about blogposts that are great but not written by Jacob and not really guest posts? Like the new math [1] one. Put up a category "undefined studies" - please rename/ move if something else is more appropriate - and let me know. Thanks --Marlene 03:00, 5 July 2012 (MDT)

Finally found the blogs about rust - another one of the reasons I started this crazy project. Great! On another note: I probably have on link in the index that´s also should be in August 2009 - but maybe I´ve deleted that accidently. So if anyone is interested in fixing that, I´d be most grateful. --Marlene 03:45, 11 July 2012 (MDT)

Hmm, finally found the external link to the biketutor and put it up in the index under "bike repair" - is this allright or should I save this somewhere else - e.g. in my user-account? Any suggestions? --Marlene 01:20, 12 July 2012 (MDT)

So - almost 2,000 visits to this site - I´m excited by derived fame - how funny is that? --Marlene 04:44, 15 August 2012 (MDT)

Right - probably fixed the August 2009 mistake spoken about above. Also had my own opinion what should be stated in the index under credit as a first post - well, if anyone want´s to change it: it´s a Wiki - so welcome. --Marlene 05:47, 21 August 2012 (MDT)

21 day makeover makes the start of the blog index because I thought numbers would go first - and I think that the program is quite central, so first it is, unless there is a better option that you know of? --Marlene 03:41, 28 August 2012 (MDT)

Just read that I have to do this for appr. a year, if I´m to index _all_ the entries. 993/3 and I´m not yet at 100. Well, probably not gonna happen, as next year is in for changes, but we will see. --Marlene 03:47, 29 August 2012 (MDT)

Next snag: why - oh - why didn´t occur to me until now to use Jacob´s tags for the index?!! This should have been obvious, and makes for another pass of lay-outing after completion. Well supposedly that´s not going to be me, so why worry now. ;-) --Marlene 08:08, 3 September 2012 (MDT)
